Ana is such a positive, world-changing woman. Her vision is unique and refreshing—and it will forever change the way you think about your business.Sarah Bray

Hello there. My name is Ana. I help women with the practical and emotional aspects of entrepreneurship.

Feminism and business are not mutually exclusive. Starting a business can be an act of defiance, activism, and one of the most socially and economically empowering things a woman can do.

As a feminist, I’ve never much felt like playing by “rules” that were created to serve the people in charge. And I encourage my clients not to either. Being wildly successful on our own terms requires the courage and inspiration to write our own rules and then the gumption to get moving.

So I motivate like hell, and I’ll always prioritize you taking action. I am 100% self-taught and consider my intuition to be my strongest asset.

Rewind

The first part of my life reads like your standard “success” story. Graduated from an expensive liberal arts college where I got a fancy degree. Into the workforce I went, bringing my passion for social change to women’s organizations in D.C. that were ironically operating under the status quo. I discovered I was a glutton for punishment when I went back to that pricey university for a master’s degree in women’s studies while working full-time. Then there was more work, this time with longer hours and higher pay.  Surely I had “made it,” right?

And then I noticed my distinct inability to stay at one job for more than a year. I noticed how simultaneously drained and stretched thin I felt. I noticed that my career prospects left me feeling apathetic, not energized.

And now?

I feel lots of moments of deep fulfillment and happiness. I let myself connect and discover and play with the world around me.

What changed?

I stopped arduously scheduling things into my planner and focused within.

I started listening to a tiny voice inside that told me that I wanted to live my life outside the 9-5 paradigm. (She wasn’t used to being heard.)

I listened closer. I did lots of journaling, meditation, and yoga.

And I found my calling (hint: you’re looking at it).

Other personal tidbits

I live in the Southwest part of the United States, and am inclined to love warm weather, delicious Tex-Mex food, and brilliant sunsets.

My likes: tomatoes in season, vintage gold jewelry, and the smell of lavender. My dislikes: the sound of Velcro, loud chewing, and narrow-mindedness.

When I’m not working, I can be found practicing yoga, “mentoring” my four younger sisters, browsing local bookstores, and dreaming up ideas for my businesses.
